On 20 May 2026, the European Confederation of Care Home Organisations (E.C.H.O.) held its General Assembly in Madrid, in the presence of President Cav. Lav. Averardo Orta, Vice President Bernd Meurer (BPA), General Secretary Alberto Echevarria (FED), Treasurer Sebastiano Capurso (ANASTE), Rubén Otero (President of FED Cantabria), Gema Díaz Domínguez (CEO of Grupo Calidad en Dependencia) and Alberto Giménez Artés (Fundación Economía y Salud). The Assembly represented an important opportunity for discussion and exchange regarding the future steps and strategic development of the Confederation within the European elderly care sector. The meeting was fruitful and constructive, confirming E.C.H.O.’s commitment to promoting dialogue, collaboration and innovation in elderly care at European level.
